Dimitrios Mylonopoulos was born in 1961 in Greece. He holds a PhD in Public Law from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Greece. He has studied at Democritus University of Thrace, Panteion University, Harokopio University, Athens University of Economics and Business, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Hellenic Navy Academy. He holds BA degrees in: a) Law, b) Public Administration, c) International and European Studies and d) Communication and Mass Media. He also holds an MSc in: a) Applied Geography and Area Management, b) Pedagogy, c) European Studies, d) Maritime Studies and e) Promotion of Mental Health-Prevention of Psychiatric Diseases. He has been teaching at higher education over the last 20 years. He is a retired senior officer in the Hellenic Coast Guard. He is currently Professor at the Department of Business Management at the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences (Greece). He is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Patras, the Hellenic Army Academy, the Hellenic Naval Academy and the Hellenic Open University. He has published scientific books in the fields of tourism and Maritime Law and articles in international and Greek journals.
